The short version

We collect minimal analytics to understand how people use Paletter. We don't sell your data. We don't track you across other sites. If you decline cookies, we respect that.

Who we are

Paletter is a color design system tool operated at paletter.dev. When we say "we", "us", or "our", we mean the team behind Paletter.

What we collect

Analytics (with your consent)

If you accept cookies, we use:

• Google Analytics — page views, session duration, device type, country. No personal identifiers.
• Ahrefs Analytics — similar anonymous usage data for SEO monitoring.

If you choose "Essential only", these scripts don't load.

Essential data

• localStorage — your cookie consent choice, onboarding completion, free export counter. This stays on your device. We never see it.
• URL parameters — shared palette URLs contain hex codes (not personal data).

When you subscribe (future)

When Pro subscriptions launch, payment processing will be handled by Stripe. We'll store your email and subscription status. Stripe handles card details — we never see your full card number.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to anyone.
• We don't track you across other websites.
• We don't use your uploaded images for anything other than palette extraction.
• We don't store uploaded images — they're processed in memory and discarded.
• We don't use advertising cookies or retargeting.

Your rights

You can:

• Decline analytics cookies at any time (clear localStorage and reload).
• Request deletion of any account data (when accounts exist) by emailing us.
• Use Paletter's free features without providing any personal information.

Changes

We'll update this page if anything changes. No surprise terms. No gotchas.
